Angelina Sanpedro is one of our employees from the Philippines. She has been working in the company for almost ten years. As a “Military Operation Officer” she has brought a lot of value to the company. We had the opportunity to ask Angelina some questions in regards to working with Allen & Son Moving and Storage, and we wanted to share this experience to share more information about the company.
What brought Angelina to work with Allen & Son Moving and Storage?
In the summer or 2011, Angelina needed a summer job. A friend of hers introduced her to Allen Burrus, the owner of Allen & Son Moving and Storage.
How did you become a Military Operations Officer?
“Allen & Son provided me with all the necessary training, such as sending me to USTRANSCOM conferences and on the job training with another moving company located in Woodbridge, VA.”
What do you enjoy the most after becoming a Military Operations Officer?
“What I like best about this job is that I am serving as an instrument in providing the best moving assistance and services to our Men and Women in Uniform.”
Can you please describe to us what a daily routine is as a Military Operations Officer?
“My daily routine begins with checking my email so I won’t miss important information about USTRANSCOM regulations and move details for Service Members. Then I make a follow up with the overall Operations Manager, Dispatch, crews, and Service Members. Phone calls will then be made if needed, log-in Defense Personal Property System, the military website for shipment management, and complete paperwork.”
What is your commitment when it comes to growing the company?
“My commitment to make the company better is to provide the best customer service to the military customers, through excellent communication, making sure all their moving needs are met with high standards.”
Aside from work, Angelina enjoys outdoor activities like getting in touch with nature like trekking. Angelina also enjoys indoor indoor activities, such as macrame. Every once in a while she also enjoys meeting her family whenever she has the opportunity to travel.
